Gillie LeBlanc, 70, died Wednesday at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton, after a lengthy illness.

Born at Pré-d'en-Haut, he was a son of the late Théotime and Agnès (Boudreau) LeBlanc. He was employed with the Canadian Pittsburgh Industries until retirement, and was a member of the local service district, a director of the Pré-d'en-Haut Caisse Populaire outlet and a member of the Pré-d'en-Haut Golden Age Club. He attended the Our Lady of the Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut.

He is survived by his wife, the former Lauraine Gautreau; two daughters, Mrs. Jacques Gauthier (Rosa) and Mrs. Germain Otis (Simonne), both of Pré-d'en-Haut; a step-brother, Valérie LeBlanc of Moncton; five grandchildren, and by several nieces and nephews.

The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. The funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday from the Our Lady of the Annonciation Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery
